ART SMART is a warm, safe creative space where children paint, experiment and grow — through art, play and community.
ART SMART is a creative studio in Aalborg for creativity development and art therapy. We are open to both Danish and international children — here we draw, paint, build and experiment in small, safe groups.
Our goal is to make children happy: to learn through play, develop creative talents and explore the world — in a friendly community with room for children with special needs too.
Natalia has a degree in pedagogy and 20 years of experience as a teacher. She is passionate about working with children and helping them develop creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
Art therapy relieves stress and helps children feel safe — and children who feel safe learn more easily. Natalia pays special attention to children with special needs, working with iso, fairy-tale and music therapy.

At ART SMART we host special children's birthdays where creativity, play and a festive atmosphere come together in one magical event — a party where children's imagination comes alive.
The party lasts 2.5 hours and is fully organised, with its own theme and festive decor tailored to the birthday child's wishes and dreams. Every child creates their own artwork to take home as a keepsake — and a special moment is the birthday child's joint creative piece made together with their parents.
Parents can simply enjoy the day: we welcome the children and take care of everything in a safe, fun and creative space.

Early development (ages 3–5): language, feelings, creativity and social skills — all through play and engaging tasks. School children (6–12): reading, writing, Ukrainian and English, creative thinking and gentle support with settling in. English for children: natural language through play, songs and movement. Danish for children: the language comes easily and naturally through play and everyday situations — an important step towards school. Every programme is inclusive: each child gets their own pace and path. There is also a dedicated group for mothers.
No. We welcome both Danish and international children and communicate in Danish, English and Ukrainian. Through everyday communication in Danish, children pick up the language naturally.
Art therapy isn't just drawing or modelling — it's a gentle, natural way to help a child express feelings when words are still hard. Through colour, shape and movement, children understand their emotions better, gradually calm down, feel an adult's support and grow more confident and open. We work with iso, fairy-tale and music therapy — including for children with special needs.
If your child often worries or withdraws, finds it hard to communicate with other children, is going through big changes (kindergarten, school, a new environment), reacts strongly emotionally — lots of tears, anger or fears — or struggles with concentration and confidence. Creative sessions offer a space where a child can be themselves, create at a comfortable pace and grow.
Every Saturday we create something new — from creative projects to cooking: badges, cookies, simple dishes and festive treats. Two hours without screens, in the company of friends and inspiration. It's fun, educational, and builds motor skills, independence and self-esteem.
